AGM & Christmas Lunch

We hope to have our AGM and Christmas Lunch on Sunday 13 December 2020 please note that we are combining our AGM (postponed from October 10) to the Christmas Lunch, which we hope will go ahead at the Dorset Golf and Country Club, Bere Regis.      See full story...

Facebook Page

Please note that Sue R has set up a new facebook page called Dorset Ramblers. It is a good way to advertise our group and attract new members which we very much need. It is still in gestation, but we hope eventually to be able to post information etc there.      See full story...

Membership Cards

These have been printed and given out to regular walkers. You can collect yours for 2019 at the AGM (if not receiving this latest newsletter etc by post) and when you pay your subs for 2020 you will receive a new card. A Letter from our Chairman

Hi everyone, I must have been tempting providence when I wrote in the September Newsletter last year, “Heat and humidity did slow the pace of some of our walks and occasionally took its toll on individuals. It was a salutary reminder of some golden rules: Carry sufficient water; Take a small snack to keep up the energy levels and don’t be embarrassed to miss out the afternoon session on a figure of 8 walk if you are feeling drained”.      See full story...

Membership Cards

Tiverton Canal Horse Drawn Barge Trip

This event had to be cancelled because of poor weather in Sept 2018 but has now been rescheduled for Sunday 8 September. We will meet at the canal basin (directions on separate sheet) at 10 am for a very pleasant 4.8 mile walk with views (there is a hill) and along the canal.      See full story...
