Coleridge Way 2018

The idea to walk the Coleridge way has arisen on the back of the success (and challenge) of having recently completed the Dorset section of the Wessex Ridgeway. We have also had very helpful details from Mo G who did the walk with Liz B and friends in June – they were very enthusiastic about the whole experience. The Coleridge Way is 51 miles through the stunning Somerset countryside of the Quantock Hills, the Brendon Hills and Exmoor, a landscape that inspired Coleridge to produce some of his best known work. More details are available on this link http://www.visit-exmoor.co.uk/coleridge-way/coleridge-way-home-page . We would start at Nether Stowey and finish and Lynmouth. Our current thinking is, rather than do it in one long week – i.e. continuous daily walking – that we divide it into two lots of three days, staying overnight together at a B&B approx one third then two thirds of the way. We suggest a meeting for all those interested so that dates can be agreed to suit and accommodation secured. Please see Newsletter and fill in slip a.s.a.p and Jenny N will contact you to fix meeting some time in November.
