Walk - Sunday 13 March 2016 - Arne

On a glorious Spring day 21 walkers enjoyed a leisurely walk around the reserve taking in heathland, ancient oak woodland and a serenely beautiful beach. There were spoonbills spotted off Shipstal Point, shelduck, oyster catchers and many more. Roe deer could be seen from the hide and nuthatch, coaltit, siskin amongst the smaller birds. In the afternoon superb views of the Isle of Wight, Purbeck Hills and Corfe Castle. The next walk at Arne will be on Sunday 10 July with a reserve guide.
